Expert, one-on-one preparation for the NSW Selective High School Placement Test and the Opportunity Class (OC) Placement Test. We teach the content, the thinking skills and the exam-day strategies your child needs to perform at their best.
What We Offer
Whether your child is sitting the OC Placement Test in Year 4 (for Year 5 entry) or the Selective High School Placement Test in Year 6 (for Year 7 entry), our tutors build the skills tested in every section. The OC test covers Reading, Mathematical Reasoning and Thinking Skills; the Selective test covers those three plus Writing. All lessons are run online, one-on-one. Lessons are tailored to your child’s level and goals, with clear feedback and progress updates along the way.

For students in Years 5 and 6 aiming for a place at a fully or partially selective high school. We cover all four test areas (Reading, Mathematical Reasoning, Thinking Skills and Writing), work through realistic timed practice, and target the question types where your child can gain the most marks.

For students in Years 3 and 4 preparing for entry to an Opportunity Class in Years 5 and 6. We build strong foundations in Reading, Mathematical Reasoning and Thinking Skills, introduce test-style questions in a supportive way, and grow your child’s confidence well before test day.

We recommend two 30-minute sessions each week. Shorter, more frequent lessons build consistency, keep young learners focused and engaged, and help new skills stick between sessions. That said, every family is different, so lesson length and frequency are flexible and we’re happy to tailor a schedule that suits you.

Every week, our students receive free practice resources to keep their skills sharp between lessons. Regular, bite-sized training builds speed, accuracy and confidence, so test-style questions feel familiar by the time exam day arrives.
